Serial Drama China Falling in Love berkisah tentang Chi Xiao Nian berbakat dalam seni memasak. Dirinya menghabiskan sepanjang hari di dapur, pacarnya merasa ia membosankan dan biasa-biasa saja. Pada hari jadi mereka, Chi Xiao Nian dengan hati-hati menyiapkan kotak makan siang khusus untuknya. Hatinya hancur ketika ia tiba di gym hanya untuk menemukan kekasihnya dekat dengan gadis lain.
Sementara itu, teman lama Chi Xiao Nian Yan Yu adalah cowok sekolah dengan lidah beracun dan hati yang hangat. Dia mengulurkan cabang zaitun ke arahnya seperti ia penyelamat terbesarnya dan mengatakan kepadanya bahwa ia bisa berpura-pura menjadi pacarnya untuk kembali ke bajingan itu.
